Why Cottbus still needs another dog walking service.

What is dogwalking anyway?
Don't worry, I certainly don't want to waste time you could be spending with your dog. So I'll keep it short and sweet, so stay with me until at least the next section.
Deal?
Dog walkers are people who take your dog for walks in your absence. Traditional dog walking takes place in a group setting. Depending on the region and setting, your dog will be picked up and returned, or you may have to take your dog to a meeting point.
Unlike a dog daycare or dog boarding facility, the care always takes the form of a walk and is limited in time - depending on the dog walking service, approximately 1 to 2.5 hours.
During this time, your dog will be kept busy, can romp with other dogs and get exercise in nature.
Is dog walking suitable for every dog?
Clearly: It depends.
A dog that gets along well with other dogs may also have problems with strangers. This can initially be difficult for someone outside the home to care for it.
Or you have a dog that will get into any car in exchange for biscuits - but gets upset if there are other dogs there.
And even if your dog likes both his dog walker and the other dogs in the group, he may not be physically able to keep up. This applies to very young or old dogs, for example, but also to anxious or physically challenged dogs.
So, can these dogs not run along now?
In most cases, these hurdles can actually be overcome. In my opinion, certain prerequisites are necessary for this to succeed:
professional suitability of the dog walker
individual consideration of the dogs' needs
a suitable integration plan
harmonious dog groups
With time, professional precision, and sensitivity, many dogs can be integrated into groups and benefit from them. However, if introductions are rushed or the dogs' communication is misjudged, they can do more harm than good.
Another dog walking service in Cottbus?
Yes! I won't bore you with numbers, don't worry. Just one: In 2025 , approximately 5,000 dogs were registered for tax purposes in the city of Cottbus. As you learned in the previous section, time is of the essence. THANK GOD, needs-based handling is also becoming more and more common. So, if (and the majority of them really do!) other dog walking services take the same amount of time for integration and harmonious group formation, owners will experience long waiting times.
I'd like to keep it short and simple here: The more dogs have the opportunity to receive needs-based, professional, and loving care, the better. I very much hope that this availability will continue to grow in the future.
Hi, I'm Vanessa!

I'm a dog behavior consultant and have been supporting dog owners and their dogs for five years now, helping them become a true team with a deep connection. I prioritize ongoing professional development and networking with colleagues, behavioral medicine specialists, and other dog walkers.
Violent methods under the guise of “education” have no place in my book.
I'll tell you exactly how I got into dog walking and what my service entails at another time.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you and your dog soon.
All love,
Vanessa
